On the 27th of June 2024, Chema Segovia from Cultura Link attended the 11th edition of European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO) which took place 26-28 June 2024 in Valencia and was co-organized and hosted by the City of Valencia, distinguished as the European Green Capital for 2024.
EURESFO has served as a pivotal European initiative since 2013 and it has been acting as a unique exchange platform in the field of resilience. The event brought together city representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions to discuss strategies, initiatives, and actions affiliating to climate change adaptation, disaster management, and the cultivation of urban resilience.
The 2024 edition of EURESFO was built around three key thematic streams and a fourth special thematic stream, each addressing crucial aspects of resilience, sustainable development and recovery. Check out the full programme of the Forum here.
PALIMPSEST participated in the case study session entitled “Does Culture Count for Resilience? Opportunities and Challenges for More Resilient Cultural Landscapes” where Chema Segovia presented the conceptual and methodological framework of PALIMPSEST, followed by the sharing of insights with other fellow projects funded by the Horizon Europe program (RescueME and THETIDA) and focused on cultural landscapes.
