The PALIMPSEST project is thrilled to announce an upcoming webinar entitled “Three Rivers’ Tales: Encounters at the Art-Research Interface“, organized online on March 21, 2024, from 14:30 to 16:30 CET.
This thought-provoking event will explore water as a medium of connection, transformation, and artistic inquiry, bringing together artists and researchers to address pressing environmental narratives and water-related emergencies.
Water is more than a resource—it is a material, a metaphor, and a political force. Through three interconnected stories, the webinar will delve into diverse water imaginaries shaped by historical, ecological, and artistic perspectives. From ancient aqueducts to contemporary environmental crises, the discussion will challenge conventional understandings of water, proposing it as both a subject and a method of engagement in times of ecological urgency.
The event will feature presentations by Giorgos Sachinis (UrbanDig project), gethan&myles (PALIMPSEST Milanese landscape pilot), and Riccardo Tabilio (Kepler452), who will share their unique insights on water’s role in art and research. The discussion will be enriched by contributions from Irene Bianchi, Stefano Beghi, and Teresa Di Muccio, with Francesca Berni chairing the session.
This webinar is a must-attend for anyone interested in the intersection of art, research, and environmental sustainability. It promises to foster meaningful dialogue and inspire innovative approaches to addressing water-related challenges through creative and interdisciplinary collaboration.
